Here are some photos from the early days, before the cars were tuned; everything on the cars was still in its original condition. The only modifications that had already been made to the green Defender were the fitting of an HD Power 20 servo, the replacement of the rims with steel ones and different tyres featuring Proline inserts, and the fitting of brass links.
Over time, bits and bobs were added to the roof, and the cars were fitted with lights, as they should be, so they wouldn’t get lost in the dark. Number plates were also fitted; initially these were self-printed stickers, but these were later replaced by aluminium number plates from Dingsign. These number plates are arguably the finest you can buy at the moment: 3D-printed, reflective and featuring the original lettering and stamps.
